The game is a transcultural activity that constitutes a spontaneous common (and immediate) groundwork for all involved youths. The game, by proposing a frame of assuring rules, stimulates the desire to interact stressing the attention on a reachable objective, inserting affection, creating contacts and relational bonds, fostering the use of creative resources and actions for the “problem solving”, being participating for all.
The transcultural essence within the game, moreover, creates alive contexts where relations develop freely and non-formally.

The frame of rules stimulate the active participation and allow to overcome the barriers - for instance language (informal and non-formal contexts induce children and youths to dare and experiment more) - favoring the tendency of a free expression and the opening to new communicative relations, dealing with potential confrontations or resistances in the classwork.

The expressive techniques (drawing, theatre, etc.) are at the basis of the creation of a pluralistic climate. Didactic methods connected to the world of drama are particularly effective to raise strengths, convictions, experiences and individual features that are emphasized by recitation and expressed externally. Theatre activities have also a positive impact on the group dynamic, pushing towards the observation of others and the decentralization of the subject. Reciting and performing means “being in someone else’s shoes”, trying to be that someone, adapting to a non-familiar behavior and context, finding common experiences and feelings with the characters to be represented - even if diverse and far away from the self. This is why theatrical techniques and activities tend to have a positive effect on the deconstruction of biases and on the intercultural sensitiveness*.

In this video, for example, the actor Mirjana Joković, expresses one of the gifts of the performing act: being able "to see ourselves and to forgive ourselves. And in that process - Mirjana says - we have to learn to forgive others, we need to see and recognize our imperfections, and to celebrate life".
