In this unit I will learn about:
  1. about the distinction between stereotypes and prejudices and how to address them in classroom
  2. how to recognise and accept one's own position of power and privilege
  3. about social actions fighting stereotypes and prejudice.
Introduction into the topic:

Technological development is making the world more and more connected – a global village and we, the people, global citizens. Globalization is connecting people from different parts of the world and intercultural relations and dialogue are becoming an important part of our life. Coexistence of different cultures enriches our lives, but at the same time it brings many challenges. It makes differences more visible and thus makes a good environment to stir up stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination – three biases (the latter often unlawful), which all work together in creating and maintaining social inequality.
